1.48.0 patch notes
1.48.0 is now LIVE and available on both Android and iOS.
GAME MODE: WINGMAN
- Added Wingman to the list of casual game modes.
That’s right, Wingman is here! Hop into a 2v2 match with your friend, or queue solo, and experience your favorite maps in a completely new way!
WINGMAN DETAILS
TEAMS:
- The Breach, Coalition.
- 2 players on both sides.
ROUNDS:
- 1 minute 30 seconds per round.
- Side swap after 8 rounds.
- Round win conditions are the same as in defuse game modes.
- 9 rounds to win the match.
ECONOMY:
- Casual defuse economy.
MAPS:
- Plaza and Castello.
- More maps will become available later in the update.
- Each map has 2 variations: limited to A or B sites respectively.
The Wingman mode is similar to other, already familiar to you defuse game modes. Some rules have been changed to accommodate the smaller map and team sizes. We will monitor player feedback regarding this game mode, so do not be shy and share it with us!
GAMEPLAY
CHARACTER COLLIDER
- Centered character collider to the character model.
In update 1.26.0, the character collider was offset to address certain peeking issues caused by character animations. This, however, caused some negative player experiences regarding character movement.
With the introduction of new agents in update 1.43.0 the character animations were changed, and the peeking issues were addressed. Version 1.48.0 will center the character collider on the character model.
This change will affect character movement, making it more predictable and stable. Here is a comparison video of the same scenario on the 1.47.0 and 1.48.0 game versions:
KNIFE DROPPING
- Removed knife dropping on player death.
- Knife can still be dropped manually.
Initially, a knife being dropped on death was added to make all weapons behave the same way when a character dies. This, however, caused several technical and gameplay problems, and negative player experience. Based on these factors, we have decided to make this change.
RANKED
RATING ADJUSTMENT
- Added rating adjustment system.
- Added rating adjustment notification screen.
- Made ranked matches cancel if a player is banned.
- No team loses or wins.
Player experience and safety remain our top priorities. Starting 1.48.0, players’ ranked ratings will be adjusted accordingly if a player from their ranked match is found to have been hacking or ghosting.
If a player is banned for hacking or ghosting, the rating adjustment system analyzes all their played matches, determines how it affected each player’s ranked rating, and compensates that much rating for the match’s outcome. The system can compensate less but can not compensate more rating than gained or lost from a match.
The rating adjustment feature will be turned on later in the 1.48 LIVE release.
MARKETPLACE

You can now open the item activity page from any listing to see recent prices, volumes, and completed listings of the selected item. This addition aims to provide players with useful information for making educated decisions about selling and buying items.
FULL TRANSACTION INFORMATION
- Added a menu to see all transaction details.
- Added buttons to see listings for the selected item.
With this feature added, you can now tap any completed transaction in your transaction history to see more details, as seen in the screenshot above.
QUICK LISTING NAVIGATION
- Added a button to see your listing in the listing browser.
You can now immediately go to see your sell offer or buy request in the listing browser from your listings screens.
OTHER CHANGES
- Updated transaction history to show all transactions.
- Increased the maximum number of active buy requests from 20 to 100.
- Updated Community Marketplace Terms of Use in-game and on the website.
- Made the following content available on the Marketplace:
- Critical Pass: Snack Time, Wood.
- Lucky Spin: Off Road, Wet Ink, Arachnid.
- Ranked Season 13 rewards.

Now, all kill medals will have an updated look, and their color will indicate what an impressive feat you have accomplished!
MISSIONS
- Missions are now prompted when you have new missions or have completed a mission.
- Removed “defuse a bomb” mission.
- Added “complete a match” mission.
- Only available to some players when 1.48 releases.
Now, when opening the game or completing a mission, the daily missions screen will be shown to the player.

- Fixed marketplace main page not showing correct prices.
- Fixed backstab and wallbang kill medals not appearing when conditions are satisfied.
- Fixed enemies being spotted on the minimap when you are in smoke.
