GAMEPLAY

NEW DEFAULT CHARACTER MODELS

  • Introduced a new character model for Coalition
  • Introduced a new character model for The Breach
  • Both models have identical hitboxes and animations
  • Both models have been optimized for gameplay performance
  • Both models have new and polished 3rd person animations for running, crouching and jumping
  • Both models have new first person arms that match the character models

ENEMY OUTLINE INDICATORS

  • Added a new enemy outline indicator accessibility feature that boosts character model visibility
  • Both factions can have their own color set up for the highlight, user customizable colors!
  • Outline is only shown on enemy characters. Player can choose to turn the feature on / off

FEATURES

INVENTORY

  • Added a new inventory system that can be used to see all items owned
  • Added a new filtering system to help filter down large inventories to find items easier
  • Inventory can be found and accessed from the store!

TRADE UP SYSTEM

  • Only available for a set of new players in the beginning. We be expanding the availability for old users in the coming weeks after the release when we are confident all bugs have been ironed out!
  • Added a system for trading up a total of 10 same rarity items for a single higher tier item
  • Only gun and utility skins can be traded in and earned as rewards from the system currently
  • Added UI indicator [ CAN BE TRADED UP ] to items that can be used in trading up system
  • Added UI indicator [ NOT FOR TRADE UP ] tag to items that can not be used in trading up system
  • Trade up main view automatically filters itself after first item has been selected
  • Reward chances are based on the collection of the items and how many are from the same collection
  • All emblems, animations, knives and gloves have been restricted from being used in the trade up system
  • It is possible to trade in the only copy of an item via trade up!
  • Trade up tab replaces social tab in the main hub. Social tab is moved to the top as an icon

ITEM SYSTEM

  • Removed duplicate items from being converted to blue tokens automatically
  • Added ability to own multiples of any item, this means all item types!
  • You can now own more than one of the same skin, emblem, animation, knife and gloves

IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • Trade up and Item system changes are rolling out together
  • Trade up system does not mean player to player trading or exchange of owned items
  • Trade up system does not mean marketplace selling or buying
  • Direct player to player trading and Marketplace are different features that Critical Ops does not yet support, but we are thinking about them strongly in our future feature roadmap for 2024

UX & UI

NEW REWARD SCREEN

  • Added a new visually improved reward screen that displays the items you received

NEW PROGRESSION SCREEN

  • Added a new tab to the main hub that gathers all progression related features under one place
  • Moved all of the following features to the new progression tab: Critical Pass, Ranked Rewards, Daily Missions and Milestones.

NEW CONTENT PREVIEW SCREEN

  • Added a new full screen content preview screen that has a similar style to the new rewards screen
  • Now you can view your owned items in amazing detail like never before!

NEW SENTIMENT CHECK

  • Starting in 1.44.0 players will start to see a simple vote pop up requesting for feedback on your overall gaming experience

MATCHMAKING

  • Each RANK continues to be divided into four divisions except for Spec Ops and Elite Ops
  • Divisions 1 and 2 are considered low within a rank
  • Divisions 3 and 4 are considered high within a rank
  • Gold and Platinum can now match with each other
  • Master is now split into two separate rating based search pools (low and high)
  • Master (low) players can match with Diamond and any Master players (low and high)
  • Master (high) players can match with any Master and Spec Ops (low) players
  • Spec Ops is now split into two separate rating based search pools (low and high)
  • Spec Ops (low) players can match with Master (high) and any Spec Ops players
  • Spec Ops (high) players can only match with other Spec Ops players
  • New matchmaking rules will go into effect with the 1.44.0 release during the end of season 10 so we can validate that changes are working as intended before starting the next season with new ranked rewards!

RANKS

CALIBRATING RANK

  • Player has not yet completed their 5 placement matches for the season
  • Players new to ranked will start with rating of 1350 instead of 1500
  • New starting players will be effectively matched as Silver players

IRON

  • MMR range from 0 - 1199
  • MMR search range from 0 - 1299
  • Div 1 = 1100+
  • Div 2 = 1125+
  • Div 3 = 1150+
  • Div 4 = 1175+

BRONZE

  • MMR range from 1200 - 1299
  • MMR search range from 0 - 1399
  • Div 1 = 1200+
  • Div 2 = 1225+
  • Div 3 = 1250+
  • Div 4 = 1275+

SILVER

  • MMR range from 1300 - 1399
  • MMR search range from 1200 - 1499
  • Div 1 = 1300+
  • Div 2 = 1325+

  • MMR range starts from 1900+
  • Spec Ops has no separate Divisions

  • Elite Ops is a rank title granted only to the Top 250 highest rated Spec Ops players
  • Elite Ops is not directly a new rank that has its own matchmaking
  • Elite Ops players will only match with other Spec Ops players

  • Added Full rooms to be visible in “browse” tab in custom games
  • Added a Filter option to show/hide full rooms
  • Added the ability to copy player name in profile to clipboard by just tapping it
  • Maximum volume of the game has been increased
  • Improved tutorial instructions for bomb defuse steps
  • Fixed long player names not being visible or otherwise breaking certain UI elements

UPDATE 1.44.1

  • The next update will bring a massive visual update to the game!
  • We are replacing our old graphics rendering with new PBR based shaders
  • We look forward to sharing more details about it in the next release notes soon!
