Winterfest Update: Wingman Goes Turbo!

CONGRATULATIONS ON HITTING THE FIRST MILESTONE OF THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE!

You’ve been putting in incredible effort with Wingman, racking up the rounds. We’ve been closely following your progress and listening to your feedback. To make the rest of Winterfest even more awesome, we’re introducing some exciting updates:

COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: ALL MODES COUNT!

From now on, all played rounds in Ranked Defuse, Wingman, Team Deathmatch, and Quick Defuse will contribute toward the Community Challenge. It’s time to go full HAM and rack up those rounds to reach the milestones faster than ever!

Currently, as of the 13th of December, the rounds completed are 6,251,656, which is an awesome feat, and we want to help you reach the milestones and get those awesome rewards!

SPEED WINGMAN: A NEW PACE FOR WINTERFEST

For the rest of the event, we’re spicing things up with a fast-paced variation of Wingman. Here’s what’s changing:

  • Rounds to Win: Reduced from 9 to 3 rounds.
  • Round Time: Reduced from 90 to 70 seconds.
  • Game Start Time: Reduced from 10 to 5 seconds.

Developer comment:

Currently, there is a bug that shows in the description of the rounds to win as 9, which is false.

BOOSTED ECONOMY

  • Kill Money: Increased from $400 to $600 per kill.
  • Loss Bonuses:
    • The first-round loss bonus increased from 1500 to $2000.
    • The second-round loss bonus increased from 2000 to $2500.

MAP CHANGES

Wingman mode will now take place on these maps:

  • Canals.
  • Castello.
  • Legacy.
  • Raid.

POST-MATCH EXPERIENCE

  • End-of-match time has been increased, allowing you to check your stats and chat with teammates.
  • Players can also leave Wingman matches manually at any time.

BONUS XP ADJUSTMENT

The bonus experience has been reduced from 200% to 100% to balance the shorter matches.
