Critical Ops Now Available on Google Play Games for PC

“Critical Ops on PC? PC version when? Bring back PC!” We’ve heard you, and we have some news to share!

We’re excited to announce that Critical Ops is now officially available on Google Play Games for PC, providing players with a new way to experience the game on their desktop. This marks the first and only officially supported method to play Critical Ops on PC.

An Alternative Way to Play – Mobile Remains Our Focus

Google Play Games for PC offers an official desktop option for Critical Ops players who prefer to play on their PC. However, it’s important to note that mobile (Android and iOS) remains the primary platform for Critical Ops, and our development efforts will continue to prioritize the mobile experience.

This PC option is an addition to our existing keyboard and mouse support, giving players who want to play on a desktop a legitimate, officially supported way to do so.

Google Play Games for PC: The Only Supported PC Platform

Google Play Games for PC is the only officially supported PC platform for Critical Ops. All third-party Android emulators are prohibited under our Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.

Important Warning About Emulator Use

Using any third-party emulator is a direct violation of our Terms of Service and can result in a permanent ban on your account. If you want to play Critical Ops on PC, you must use Google Play Games for PC – no exceptions. Please note that any existing bans for using unsupported third-party platforms will not be removed.

What to Expect: Beta Status and Current Limitations

Since Google Play Games for PC is still in beta, players may encounter some performance or compatibility limitations. Here are the key things to know:

Framerate Limited to 60 FPS

Google Play Games for PC currently has a 60 FPS framerate limit. This is a platform limitation set by Google, not Critical Ops. We strongly recommend setting your framerate to 60 FPS in the game and the Google Play Games PC settings when playing on PC, as selecting a higher framerate may cause performance issues or unexpected behavior.

Due to the nature of how Google Play Games for PC emulates Android, some mouse input lag may be noticeable compared to native PC games. While this is a technical limitation of the platform, our team is actively working to optimize the experience and minimize input delay where possible.

CPU Virtualization Required

To play Critical Ops on Google Play Games PC, you may need to enable CPU virtualization in your PC’s BIOS settings. Without virtualization enabled, the platform may not function correctly or at all. Please check your system settings before attempting to play.

Google Play Games for PC supports only Google and Facebook logins, similar to Android phones. If you’re an iOS player who typically uses Apple ID or Game Center, you’ll need to link your account to Facebook before playing on PC. Linking your account ensures your progress carries over correctly between platforms.

Note that Google login is not available on iOS devices, so Facebook is the only cross-platform option for iOS players who want to access their account on PC.

Getting Started

Critical Ops is NOW available on Google Play Games for PC in regions where the platform is supported.

Before you can install Critical Ops on Google Play Games for PC, you must first sign up as a beta tester. This can be done either on your Android phone through the Google Play Store, or through the web at: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.criticalforceentertainment.criticalops

Note: If you sign up for the BETA program using an Android device, your mobile version will also be enrolled in the program. If you wish to leave and go back to live servers, check out the instructions for that here.

Make sure to use the same Google account for both the beta signup and Google Play Games for PC to avoid any issues.

Once you’ve joined the beta program, you’ll be able to install and play Critical Ops on PC.

To get started:

Sign up as a BETA tester (see above)
Download and install Google Play Games for PC (ensure virtualization is enabled in your BIOS)
Search for Critical Ops and install
Sign in with your Google or Facebook account
Launch the game and play!

Remember: Google Play Games for PC is the only legitimate way to play Critical Ops on a desktop. Using any other emulator violates our Terms of Service and will result in account action.
