Feel the summer of 88
Get ready to get nostalgic with Summer ’88 -event. Imagine cruising to the sunset in your white Lamborghini. Neon lights flickering around you. Summer ’88 is a blast from the past.
The event starts on the 7th August at 10:00 EEST (Eastern European Summer Time) and it will be active for four weeks. Thus the event ends on the 4th September at 10:00 EEST (Eastern European Summer Time).
Summer ’88 brings you 14 new, unique, retro-themed skins:

In which two of these are knife skins! This time we are introducing totally new feature Event Tokens. As usual, the event cases contain exclusive Summer ’88 and it is guaranteed to drop tier three or higher item. This case type and the skins are available only during the event. Skins unlock permanently, and they cannot be purchased with traditional in-game currency. However, it is possible to purchase these limited time skins with Event Tokens.
EVENT TOKENS
You can now attain Event Tokens during Summer ’88! These tokens are received whenever you get a duplicate Event Skin through the seasonal Summer ’88 Cases. The tokens can then be used to purchase any of the limited-time Summer ’88 Skins, but only during the duration of the event. After the event, all of your remaining Event Tokens will then be converted into normal Blue Tokens, so you can use them directly get any of the existing skins.
Developer comment:
A lot of players gave us the feedback that they would like to be able to more easily attain a specific event skin. We believe that the simple event token system is a fair balance of allowing you to eventually get the skins you want, without making the event skins too common and lose their high value.
The event token icon varies depending on the theme of the event. For this event, it is a palm tree.
The event tokens accumulate only when receiving duplicates. The tokens cannot be bought with real-life currency.
The event skins can be bought normally through the Loadout. The skins have pink overlays (as seen in the picture).
